About Us - The Family You Will Meet at the Inn

After living in Italy and Sweden, we decided to settle here in Selbu. We found the inn and fell inlove with the place!

I, Ida, am Norwegian, born and raised just 30 minutes from Selbu. I am a history, theatre and Montessori teacher by education, and love to read and explore culture and traditions! 

Lennart is Swedish, so if you’re practicing Norwegian with him, you might end up speaking the wrong Scandinavian language! Luckily, Swedish and Norwegian are quite similar, so you might manage just fine. 

Someone once called our guesthouse the “Pearl of Selbustrand,” and we couldn’t agree more—it perfectly captures the charm of this wonderful place.
